Just For The Sake Of Arguement

There was some back and forth on another post concerning certain pregnancy tests. From your experiences, which tests have you tried and which tests do you feel gave you the quickest postive results? What brand had you used? A couple I've tried were Clearview easy (digital), EPT, First Response the last two were regular tests, not digital. I will post my experiences later on just not to influence any outcomes.

I've used every test imaginable. Dollar store tests, Internet Tests, digital, regular, etc. Obviously I got a lot of negatives because I was not pregnant. The ones I DID get positives on (because those were the ones I had on hand) were Equate and First Response.

First Response is coming out with a digital test called First Response Gold. I do not know how sensitive it is. Compared with FRER, Clearblue Easy measures the same amount of HCG. And I like this because it tell you whether you are actually pregnant or not instead of having to wonder if you have a true positive or an evap line (which I've had MANY evap lines).

So I plan on using Clearblue this next time I test and hopefully I get pregnant and get a BFP!

I was spending all the extra money on First Response and Clearblue when someone suggested  $ TREE brand (because I was pee stick happy). These are wonderful, because you don't feel wasteful if you decide to test earlier than you should and it comes out BFN.

I got a very faint + at least 4 days before AF was due, and the line only got darker each day. The first REAL line I saw without having to tilt it in the light was about 3 days prior to AF.
I'm sticking with those this go round, too. Their sensitivity is 25 mIU, which is just as sensitive as all the expensive brands (unless you spend more for one of the very few "more sensitive" types.
You can see a comparison chart on the Babyhopes site.

by the way, even walgreens sells their own digital version now which works just as well but a little cheaper.

with each of my BPF's i tried using the line tests first like equate but they were hard to read with faint lines.  then i went out and bought the ditigals which work great, no guessing games.  and i guess the digitals read at a low hcg level close to 25:)

Ok long story, lol. With my first I used EPT and got a BFP the seond I peed on the sticck....I was 3 months along and had no clue. With my seond I also used EPT and got a BFP 4 days before AF was due. With my current pregnancy I used a bunch of the cheapoff brands ( walmart and target) testing every month hoping for a BFP and not getting it:( After trying for almost 2 years EPT got very expensive!! Finally the day before Christmas I tested with targets brand and got a very faint BFP but I didnt beleive it cause for the past few months I kept seeing 2 lines cause I was looking so hard, lol. Than Christmas morning before any one got up,I disided to test again with an EPT and got a BFP one day before AF!! It was the best Christmas ever!! I wrapped my test and gave it to my hubby!! I took a picture...it was priceless:)
I really wish I would have known about the cheap dollar store test!! I could have bought out the store and still saved tons of cash!!

in getting my BFP, i used an equate test, 4 days after my period was late, and it was instant +....an "answer" test, was faint, and a digital said BFN.....but i am pregnant.....3 tests in 5 days, different results.....the digital was the last 1 i used, since my 1st test was an immediate blood red +, and the answer was a faint +, so i used the digital to "confirm" and it said negative.....and it was a clearblue digital that fiance had picked up for me 1 night.....so i'm not into the digital ones.....

I bought the equate walmart brand i didn't have a lot of money and thought I was really wasting my money since I was only 3 days late and that sometimes my cycle is off by a few days.  once ever 3 months it's 32 days instead of 28. anyways.......

I got a positive in about 15 seconds not 3 minutes like it said to wait.

peeonastick.com is a really great site for side by side comparisons of different brands

I've used the IC's (internet cheapies) and those worked for me as well (this is my 2nd pregnancy....1st ended in M/C...and I was a PSYCHO tester!!).........Anyway, alot of people have problems with evaporation lines on the IC's........Any time I got a faint line on them, I used the digital as backup......I've also used Answer brand but never got a + with them until I had already had a + with a digital (make sense?)......Put it this way, I had an arsenal of tests and once I got a BFP, I continued to use them!  HAHA!  How's that for NUTS!?!?!?
