I am pregnant with my fourth child. This will be my fourth kid in 4 years. The other ones are ages 4,3, and 18 months. There is almost exactly 18 months between each kid. Whenever I'm out in public with all the kids, a stranger will almost always say something like "You know what causes you to keep getting pregnant right?"
I always thinks its kind of rude, especially since all of our kids were conceived using different forms of birth control.
If you could say anything at all to these people what would you say?
My favorite so far is from my sister. "Well, in sex ed they always taught us to put a condom on a banana before sex. I keep a bunch of bananas in my room and put condoms on them every time, but doesn't seem to help..."
I shared this with my husband, who says he gates people like that and would tell them to f*** off. Personally, I love the banana one. I tell people that my husband is a superhero, and his power is super sperm.
Hey 4in4 this is my fourth on too and my kids are evenly spaced about 2 1/2 yrs. I have an 8 yr old, a 5 going on 6yr old and a 2 going on 3 yr old. I also am very familiar with that "You know what causes that right?" line. The only effective way Ive been able to get people to shut up is either 1. Be stupid: "I have no idea but it keeps happening every 2 years!" or 2. Be a smartass: "Yeah, my Dr said to stop drinking water theres something contaminating it."
I get that comment all the time, I have 10 and alot of mine were/are close together and it used to irk me as well, now I just look at them straight in the eye and say "I know, thats why we have so many" ;)
