Labor story!

Tuesday afternoon at my ob appointment, I was given 10/7 as my induction date. I guess my little lady had other plans because at 115 Wednesday morning, I got out of the car and my water broke!! Got to the hospital around 230, had it confirmed that it was for sure my waters and since I was GBS positive, they decided to not check for any dialation right away. Speed up to 6 a.m, I hadn't started contracting on my own, so I was started on Pitocin. Never having had a contraction before they started coming in every 2-5 minutes around 645. By 945 I unfortunately cannot take the pain anymore (back labor) and I ask for an epidural. The doctor decided to check my cervix before they placed the epidural. I was 4cm and 100% effaced! Epidural went semi-smooth. Not so much pain as pressure or discomfort. By 11 I was feeling much better, contracting every 1-3 minutes. Come 1230 I'm ready to have my cervix checked again and to my doctors complete shock I am fully dialated and crowning. By 108 p.m I welcomed an 8lb 15oz adorable little girl to this big crazy world. Having only been 36+4 she's considered a late premature baby and we will be kept for an extended period so she can be monitored.
