My sis gave birth THREE times without meds. You can do it!!! Labor is so far away for you to even be thinking about it. The video was good, but very textbook. Every woman's birth stories are different, even between her own children.

I actually loved labor and delivery. There was so much anticipation! It was really like waking up Christmas morning and thinking, "What am I going to get?" You get to see your baby, hold your baby, look into their eyes. Honestly, labor doesn't last long.

For every woman labor is different but yes, it is extremely painful. You need to learn how to breathe right and doing the lamaze breathing is not effective at all. What you do is breathe in deep through your nose at the beginning of the contraction and then slowly exhale during the contraction. Keep doing that until the contraction is over. THEN take one last deep cleansing breath.

When you do the lamaze breathing, which is that "Who-who hee" sort of thing, you're not getting enough oxygen, which not only exhausts you and makes you faint, it deprives baby. Also, don't hold your breath!!!

I didn't know how to breathe right the first time I was in labor and ended up not being able to breathe at all during contractions. They were so painful I'd hold my breath.

Shaking is very normal during and after labor and delivery. You shake like you're extremely cold, but obviously you're not! I vomited a few times during delivery, I think because I hadn't eaten before I went to the hospital and because of the meds.

Don't worry about labor just yet! You're still so far away from it.

Yeah. Im only 9 weeks and im already scared of the labor part. It looks very painful. I want to do it natural with no meds. I'll just allow an IV for fluids thats all. Is it as painful as it looks?

Very informational, but everyone who watches that needs to remember that every woman is different. I had my first daughter in 3 1/2 hours and my second took closer to 20 hours. Every pregnancy and birth is different, so don't worry so much about the part that says how long each phase lasts. Just worry about true labor and when to get to the hospital!
