Ladies... my results are in! Experiement with Equate blue dye, and water! =)

The water test is on top... clear BFN. Within the first minute I could actually see a thick faint blue line developing. After about 3 min the line completely disappeared and the test is stark white.

The second is my test. This is still under the ten min, and the line is still faint, not as faint as in this pic, but I am still early so... And apparently this test is pretty DARN sensitive!!

Let me know what you think. If you can't see my test I will try and resize it because they line is DEFINITELY there.

Nicole-- that's the exact reason I used one of them for experiment and put it in water!! Lol I read to much about the blue dye tests. Mine definitely came up in the time frame and the one with water had NOTHING!! That's what's giving me faith right now. I have no signs of af so hope this is it!!

Waitn383-- you really can't see it in this pic. It was taken at about 5 min in and my phones crap. But if you go to my other post and go to canyouseealine you can clearly see it and this one was the exact same. My camera is on my phone, and not the greatest!!

I will never ever ever buy another blue dye test! I bought a pack in January and they came out positive. I went and got a FRER and a beta, and they were negative. I bought the EPT blue dye tests that look the same as those, they're in the clear casing and everything. I was under the impression that EPT is the Error Proof Test, but no. I will only use FRER! FRER picked up my bfp in March at 10 dpo and it was dark enough to not have to second guess myself.

zgj-- Sounds like an evap line. The evap lines are usually really thin, and can be bright blue. If it was negative in the first ten minutes, then I would say it's negative. My test that I used water on, actually now has a big blue like but the top of the line kinda curves in. I would retest in a couple of days. My equates have been developing a line anywhere from 1-3 minutes.

Ahelen-- Thanks so much for your help. I was 11 dpo yesterday too. I was 10 dpo when I got my first faint positive on it. Got another faint positive this morning. I wish it would've got darker. Also took another $ tree test and that one was negative. I'm due for af my calculation are tomorrow, I guess possibly Friday, so we will see if she shows her ugly face. And also, the digitals always have two lines. They pick up LH as well as HCG so it's always there. I know-- how mean!! LOL.

Well, I will keep everyone updated!!!!

i have absolutely no clue what my first beta was LOL but I do know that I was only 9DPO when I started getting BFPs and I think that this brand was taken around...11DPO I think...when I got a BFP on it. Oddly enough my very first BFP at 9DPO was on a digital that said "not pregnant" but when I removed the strip (it was one of those CVS brands where you have to insert a test strip into a reusable digital reader) it was definitely a very faint positive...and I took a few more after that and by the time I got to the equate at about 11DPO there was a clear faint line no more guessing so I just stopped testing and went to the doctor where it was confirmed..I'm 31 1/2wks now so it was definitely accurate LOL

this is the same one I took before I went to the doctor for confirmation...and mine was about the same as yours is now, so I agree that blue dye tests get a bad rap. every time I respond to a post about a blue dye test I always say "everyone says bad things about them but they've always worked well for me" LOL.

I definitely see a line!

I wanted to update! I just looked at my test and the water test again. The water test has now developed an evap. Scared the crap outta me for a min. However, upon further investigation the line is thick at the bottom then kinda caves in at the top, there is no blue, and is more gray, I guess you could see a tint of blue if you were inspecting it trying to make it a bfp, but it's for sure an evap line. So.... Equate tests do give you an accurate result in the time frame. They do develop evap lines after the time frame. A positive (let's hope anyway) is thick, blue, can be faint or dark, and appears within the ten min time frame!!

I know blue tests have a bad rep, but I honestly think these tests are good, and people should know this. They are compare to FRER, and I think (if I am actually pregnant, which I'm certain now I am) that they pick up at a looooooooooot low hcg level than FRER. Took an FRER little bit ago... faint faint fainnnnnnnnt line. I really could barely see it, after an hour a shadow type line. How awful!!

Ok I just looked.. these pics really don't show anything. Gr!!! My test line is DEFINITELY there, I swear lol. The other test nothing.. notta! You could see a shadow maybe of where the line "should" be but its one of those twist and turn and maybe you see it, but it's not there! Then you look at mine... BOOM nice thick blue line!! =) Just like the line from yesterday except darker, and it came up faster!! woo hoo!! looking goooooooooooood!!
