Late Ovulation and Successful Pregnancy?

So i just took a digitial pregnany test and it was positive. I have been tracking as I wasnt actively trying to conceivne - i have a 6 month old.  I thought i had already ovulated when we had unprotected sex, however, i must have ovulated later than I thought b/c I did get a BFP. My question is that I wouldnt have ovulated until CD25 - i have heard that could mean poor egg quality. I have had a miscarriage in the past so this is why I am so nervous?  anyone ovulate later than CD25 and have a successful pregnancy???

Another update - HCG on 8/24 = 896, on 8/26 =2876 :)

Just an update - HCG went from 61 to 179 in 48 hours. Progesterone ony 8.9 - taking supplements. Will update with results.

My cycles are very varied - usually between 34-38 days...and ovulate between CD21-25i have never had a luteal phase issue - almost always 13 days.  Thanks for the info. I think i am just begin paranoid b/c I have had a miscarriage in the past. I did blood work today and will go again Saturday.

Oh and ninky - CD 25 is Cycle Day 25 :) Dont' worry, i dont know half the abbreviations people use.

To my understanding, when you ovulate has nothing to do with the quality of your eggs. Age does that. It just means you have a shorter luteal phase in which the egg has to implant in. Depending on your cycles though, it can be normal. If they're longer, you won't have ovulation till later. There are many healthy couples who ovulate on CD 21-27 and get pregnant naturally and carry till term.
