Late period!

Hey guys I just wondered if you could give me a little advice. I have not long been taking birth control, however my period (withdrawal bleed) is late. I wouldn't be worried otherwise as I know it can be normal to have a late period whilst taking the pill. However I have been pregnant before about a year ago (wasn't on birth control and sadly miscarried) and I had all the signs of my period starting, the sore enlarged boobs, backache, cramping etc however this diseappeared after a few days, my period never came and later found out I was pregnant. This has happened this time around and I am quite worried that I am pregnant again, as I've had sex twice whilst taking the pill. I don't know whether this has anything to do with it, but my last 3 periods have been very irregular, especially last months. About 3 months ago I bled for 5 days then had brown/pink discharge for a further 5 days and the same happened the following month. The period that has just gone, I bled for 4 days then had the brown/pink discharge for a further 14 days! I did start taking my pill on the first day of my period, however it doesn't explain the previous 2 months activities. My periods have always been normal, and came back to normal 2 months after miscarrying.

Is there any chance that I could be pregnant? Are my irregular periods anything to worry about? Am I being paranoid? I really would like some advice!

I'm 2 days late for my withdrawal and started my first packet around 23 days ago I think. I do know it is normal for the bleeding to start late and to start when it is time to take the next pill packet, but it's just the symptoms that worried me that's all. Thank you for your help. I might wait a few days to see if my period does come, then take a test if it doesn't or I might get one tomorrow, depends on how bad my paranoia is LOL!

When did you start back on birth control? If it was recently than it could just be from regulating again. I wasn't on birth control long (two and a half months), and I had a lot of spotting the entire time almost. If you're late for your period you can take a test, you could be pregnant.
