Leaking

I am 38 weeks and when I lay down I start leaking fluids and a slimy discharge comes out.. the pain is mild. What should I do?

I would maybe call your Ob if they are still opened or first thing tomorrow! Sounds like maybe amniotic fluid and some of your mucus plug. It can come out in pieces... Is this your 1st pregnancy? What type of pain are you experiencing and is it consistant?

Hi there, this can be common for 38 weeks pregnant as your body prepares for labor. You may be expelling your mucus plug at this point. For your own piece of mind, you can call your OB and let them know what's going on and they can advise you to either take it easy or come in to be further evaluated. You're getting really close, so in the time that it takes you to see this post, you may have already had the baby! So Congratulations!
