They have seen our house and know its small. But they persist anyways, can't get a smaller swing, honestly can't have one at all because its such a tiny place. Like we don't even have room in our room for anything except our bed. We keep our laundry in baskets in the bathroom. I hate living like this! But we're managing what we can! And there is no dining room, haha! We have a kitchen the size of a walk in closet, same for the living room haha. I was surprised we even got the crib in the baby's room at all. Not stressing!!! Just needed to rant about it.
Lol if I could put them in the pantry I would!
My husband and I had a 1 bedroom apartment we used the dining room as the "nursery" we just ate on the couch and our baby in a high chair around the coffee table
Exchange the swing for a smaller one? Or exchange it for diapers! We put something on our registry and now rethinking it because of the room. If we bring it back then I will be getting diapers.
@sheba27 I have all the diapers and wipes stored in the kitchen pantry haha. Some how we find a way
Ah that's annoying. Its a sweet thought but if you said not to then they should respect your wishes. I wouldn't get too stressed about it though. They're just probably really excited for the baby and what to give it everything! Maybe try talking to them and explaining why you don't want big things. They might just think that you're being polite by saying not to get stuff. Good luck mama.
We're in the same boat as you. It ***** not having the space you need or want, but we're finding a way somehow. We had to rearrange the entire apartment the times just to make it tolerable for us, then we did it again to fit baby stuff. I seriously have diapers stacked to the ceiling in a corner.
Thanks! My family keeps wanting to buy us stuff, and I really appreciate it all, but have absolutely no where to put it, or to use it. Like my in laws bought us a baby swing, but I told them we have no room for it, they got it anyways, and I feel like they ignored my wishes on getting small stuff. I'm getting frustrated... Lol
Yea I know how you feel. We have a one bedroom apartment and the room is fairly small. We already have a 9 month old in there with us and a baby due in February. We pretty much just have the absolute essentials. Just a crib for our son and gonna get a cosleeper for the baby. No extra drawers or anything else. No changing table. Just the stuff we couldn't live without. Its not easy but hang in there! You'll find a way
