Linea Negra- 6 weeks after baby

Mine is still present and my belly already looks bad enough with all of my stretch marks... it looks like cats scratched my belly...LOL.  Any chance the line will go away down the middle from my pregnancy?  If so, when?  Anyone know?

I didn't notice mine until after I had my kids because it was out of sight for me!  I do know that a few months after my daughter was born I wondered why it was still there.  I got a loofah and some soap and scrubbed until I was red but it lifted off with the top layer of dry skin.  It wasn't just dirt - really!

I didn't even think I had a linea nigra with either pregnancy - until I had actually given birth...as my belly was shrinking back to its normal size, I noticed it.  It was darker the first time and it took until 6 months post-partum for it to disappear completely.  The second time, it was gone much sooner, within the first couple of months.

While I know it's different for everyone mine stuck around for several months after I had my dd.  I'm not positive how long, but i think it started fading around 12 weeks postpartum.

I didnt have a Linea Nigra while pregnant but it developed after I delivered and was noticeable for about a year after delivery.  Its a hormonal thing and everyone is different.

La Linea of course... My mom's after she had my sister was VERY dark but it got lighter with time. I dont think it ever goes completely away but it does lighten up.

You probably had it before you even got preggers but it wasnt as noticable. I know I have it and I've not yet had a child. I think being preggers just makes it stand out alot more.

Try some cocoa butter.

Thanks for answering my sister said hers went away the day after, so I wonder why mine in lingering.  I have already had my first AF after the baby too, and started birth control.  But, I did have a csection maybe that has something to do with the delay!

I've never had the linea negra but everything I've read abuot it says it WILL disappear after pregnancy, but I've never seen anything that mentions specifically when.  I would assume it would be after your body has rid itself of the excess hormones from pregnancy.
