It really starts when Ur prego.. When prego stay healthy. Eat right-protien fr meat, beans etc. drink lots of water, eat veggies & fruit. Limit all the bad food-sweets, sugar, fried foods, fast food etc. Also it's really good for both U & baby to workout. Nothing crazy-walk or get a prenatal workout DVD (can find on Amazon). When you have the baby you ONLY loose 15-20 lbs everything after that is Ur weight not baby. But staying healthy when prego will make loosing weight post baby easier. After baby don't do crash diets especially if nursing. It takes time. Eat rt & walk. Wait 6 wks before starting a excersise routine & nursing does help burn calories.

Im 5'7" and have gained 0.8 pounds after 16 weeks of pregnancy (with no throwing up!), so everyone is different. Its important to share your weight gain/control concerns with your doc. Mine isnt worried because im eating more than a boy going through puberty!

I gave birth 7 weeks ago and I'm back to my eek weight. I didn't really do anything. I lost 20 pounds right after birth and I would say it took my tummy like a month to go completely down

Breastfeeding helped me...or you can just eat healthy and drink lots of water no soda .. also after you're healed up wouldn't hurt to workout a little bit.. but don't over work yourself you'll be extremely exhausted with a newborn. Waist cinched are good too.. maybe try the "it works" body wraps..
