Low Blood Pressure

I'm 21 and 15 weeks now, before I got pregnant, my BP was usually around 100-110 over 80s... but since I've been pregnant, its consistently in the 80s over the 50s (I bought a BP thing at CVS, so I take it a few times a day), and it makes me feel terrible... I'm tired, nauseous, and I have headaches.  I'm not on any medication other than prenatal vitamins.  My doctor doesn't seem concerned and says I should drink more water, but I've been trying to drink around 8 glasses a day, sometimes I only drink around 6, but I usually drink 8.

Has anyone else experienced this?  Should I get a second opinion?

"Where salt goes water soon follows"... As more sodium enters the bloodstream, water follows to maintain equilibrium in sodium concentration between the bloodstream and tissue cells. As a result, the volume of fluid contained by the blood stream is increased. Which in turn increases blood pressure!

i have low bp normally, at my appointments i went 80/50 to 98/60, so was just told to stay hydrated, get up slowly from lying - sitting / sitting - standing.    iff feeling dizzy, sit down ad have a drink,   salty things wll just dehydrate you which kinda defeats the pirpose of staying well hydrated x

Hey I have low BP too.. 90/60 usually! My dr makes jokes that he's surprised I have a pulse lol. I'm now over due at 40+5 but its been low the whole time and even before I was pregnant! My dr told me if I felt dizzy ever or like I was going to pass out to drink lots of water and eat a bag of plain salted chips ( the small snack size ones). I think anything salty will help! Only thing about eating salty things is you can get edema more easily, which on my case I have! (Hands And feet). Good luck!
