Mirena Baby...

I'm here asking for input because searching through Google makes it sound like either me or this baby is going to die.

I had my Mirena IUD placed June 1st, and I just didn't feel "ok". Maybe I'm just mental but the morning I got it placed I took a pregnancy test that came out negative, and again at the doctors office my urine test was negative. They also drew blood that came back negative for hCG. But on the 15th, two weeks later, I take a pregnancy test at home that comes back positive. I call the doctor and on the 18th my blood comes back positive and they can see a little 5 week, 5 day old sack during an ultrasound.

Of course, they can't find the strings to remove the device because the entire device got swallowed up and is resting at the top of my uterus, so I guess my question is: "What would you do?"

I got the Mirena in the first place because I had our first baby in March and my husband is still in Pharmacy school so one baby is more than enough stress... I'm not a fan of abortion, but like I mentioned in the beginning: Google is scary.

Honestly, I'm just looking for some guidance...

My sister had this issue two years ago she had a completey healthy pregnancy because they kept a eye on everything....when she had to baby guess what came out with him yea the Mirena it came out seperate but it was during her giving birth she didn't even feel it I think as long as they keep a close eye on things you and your baby will be just fine..and remember the internet is set up to give the worst case possible when it comes to any type of illness or pain DON'T READ IT!
