Miscarriage and Rhogam

I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum on 12/29/09.  I began to spot last week and on 1/7/10 started taking a medication to make my uterus contract.  It is one week later and I am still having bleeding.  I have two questions:

1)  Is it normal for the bleeding to last this long?
2) I am RH- (SO IS MY HUSBAND) and had a m/c in March 09 where I received Rhogam.  Do I need one this time?  Is it too late to get it?  What is the protocol for receiving Rhogam with a miscarriage - (am I supposed to have it within a certain time?)?

I appreciate your assistance in answering my questions.

My doctor told me because I am RH-, if I start randomly bleeding. Then I need to come in and get my Rhogam shot ASAP. My last appointment was the actual time for it so I have had it now. But she told me that early on in my pregnancy. Hope this helps. You def. need to call your OB doctor and let them know whats going on!!!! I hope you get to feeling better!

You can receive the Rhogam after a miscarriage, yes. I would call the doctor and talk about it.
