Miscarriage at 9 weeks

I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks -- and the DR told me within minutes of seeing no heartbeat during the u/s it was due to a "chromosone abnormality" -- how can she be sure this is what it is without further testing? She indicated there was a lot of fluid around the baby.

She also said this is the most common of miscarriages (is that true?) and happened at a time when majority of miscarriages occur.

I had one with twins at 13 weeks last march. Chromosome abnormality, but that was after testing was done. I don't think you can tell just by look... I believe it does need testing. After my miscarriage everything was sent to Pathology to get looked at.

I have had just about "every" common mc.
March of last year- Chromosome Abnormaility
October- Chemical Preganancy
March of this year- Blighted ovum( which honestly is the most common)
I got pregnant again in October, and so far this baby is fine, good heartbeat, and Ive seen it 3 times on ultrasound. I am now 10 weeks.

Most of the time, these kind of losses don't mean you will have another the next time you get pregnant. I was told it was all bad luck. Good luck.
