Missed period

Hi, My last period was 7/19/2011 and I took several home pregnancy test and all negative. I went to my Dr. on 9/12/2011 and he did a urine test and pelvic exam. He stated I wasn't pregnant and had a hormone inbalance and he  wouldn't give me a blood test. He prescribed a med that would start my cycle 2 weeks after my last pill. I have been real tired, sore nipples, some cramping and mood swings. When I went to the meds the pharmacist told me that if I'm pregnant or trying to get pregnant  in the next month not to take the pills. Im scared to take them. What should I do?

Thanks for your comment. I think I will find another Dr. So I can get a blood test done.

I wouldnt start taking the medication, its hard to tell by pelvic exam in early stages of pregnancy as your uterus is still down in the pelvis, I would go to another doctor and have a blood test as you do have some of the symptoms of early pregnancy

If you are that worried that you are pregnant I would find another Dr. who will give you a blood test. At that point if it comes out negative you can start the medication. Or consider re-contacting the original Dr., explain that you dont feel comfortable taking the medication until a blood test is taken. Good LUck.
