Ok so this is probably TMI (Sorry!!) but I am about 5 days past my due date and I lost my mucus plug today. Is it safe to have sex? I will probably go into labor soon and won't be able to be intimate for a while. Just wondering. Thanks
Yes you can! It can actually help speed things up. As long as your water hasn't broken, it's completely safe. When I was just about in labor with Jesse, me and hubby did the deed and my contractions started coming every 2-3 min not even an hour after that. It was crazy and I think it helped. Ahh you are so close! =)
I just have one thing to add to this ... HOW in the heck can you force yourself to have sex so pregnant? I know it speeds up the process but dang! I was so miserable both times when i was so close to my due date I was ready to club my hubby over the head and use a turkey baster to get the deed done and over with! lol I just don't understand, are you comfortable enough to have sex now? forgive me but I really was so miserable i can't understand. hope you have fun doing it if that's what you want and good luck with your new babe!!!
lol I had to laugh when I read your reply becuase I am humongous right now and it is extremely uncomfortable. But I am hoping to speed things up and also I feel bad for my hubby cuz he won't be getting any for awhile. lol
I was 8 days over due with my daughter when I finally had her.
I couldn't STAND having sex after I got past my 30th weekm but once it came to week 38, 39... I wanted to get it down and over with so hubby n I did it atleast once a night to try to get me to go into labor. And it'd work at first but the contractions wouldn't become regular enough and eventually would die down. That went on for WEEKS. lol.
I'm hoping it'll work this time!! lmao
