well i'm glad i'm not the only 1 who is suffering , ive been having the same discharge i usually get it worse after making love (on the rare occasion that happens these days ) but like the other girls said if i remember rightly the plug does have a lil blood in it , so you sound safe to me :) not long now ladies :)
What JoyRenee said...
I was having trouble remembering exactly what the mucus plug was like in texture. Its been 3 years for me.
Well good luck!!
I don't think it's your mucus plug.
I'm having thie very same discharge and I'm 32w3d now. I've been having it since I think my 29th week.
The doc took a sample and tested it.
She said it wasn't my plug, it wasn't yeast or a bacterial infection.
She said she didn't really know what it was and why it's looking like that, but she said most likely it's just cervical mucus.
its was about the size of a nickle, and there has been a little more since but alot smaller maybe langth of a cm maybe and its very strechy...ive not had this at all my whole pregnancy, but like youve said since this is no blood or anything im not to worried about it just more curious ... and ive had the " egg white" cm befor but this is not the same it holds its shape and its just very odd for me ive never seen anything like it come out of down there befor!
No.
The mucous plug is similar in consistency to Jell-O. It's gelatinous, not stretchy and sticky like the cervical mucous you get during ovulation and early pregnancy.
Increase in discharge in pregnancy is normal. Many women have to wear panty-liners during their pregnancies because they have a lot of discharge.
I can not tell you for sure because I am not a doc., however if there was NO blood at all or any color to it then I am sure you are safe. How big was it? Through out my first pregnancy I did have 'egg white' cm (cervical mucus) and quite often.
If you are still concerned you should call or see your doc.
wow, i am only 27 weeks and i noticed exact same thing yesterday. I though"well that's weird.." but didn't give much concern. I sure hope it doesn't mean early labor.. cant wait to see the responses. good luck.
