My ultrasound is off by 6 weeks.

Im very confused. I went on July 1st to do my first ultrasound and the technicians couldnt find nothing, i was supposed to be 10 weeks pregnant since my last period started on April 19.  But my OB sent me two weeks later to do the second ultrasound to see if maybe i was too early. This two times they did the vaginal ultrasounds. Yesterday my doctor called me and sent me to the hospital to do a blood test to check my hormones levels. She is saying that maybe baby is not developing. I cried a lot yesterday since this is my first pregnancy and we really want it. Is there someone outhere that happened through this??

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this. A similar situation happened to me last year. I went in to the OB to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time at 11 weeks and there was nothing. They sent me downstairs to the hospital to get an u/s and the doctor confirmed that the baby had stopped developing at 9 weeks. They said there was no way my dated were that far off and we scheduled a D&C for the following Monday. Sadly, sometimes things happen that we have no control over. If the doctor says that you lost your baby then please be assured that there was nothing that you did to make that happen. A m/c is more than likely determined at conception. Good luck to you and I hope you get some postive news. Please keep us updated.
