We wrote a list of names and then compared. It was a great method. But We've chosen my partners family names, because my family names will be carried on by my brothers.
I feel it should be a joint choice,
Yes the mother carries the child for nine months but in the scheme of time for an entire child's life you will both hopefully have a lot of joint input parenting wise.  I can b understand you not favouring David, is there another family name??
Hope this is helpful. Best of luck

Maybe you 2 should both go on a baby name site and make your own lists.. Print them out and give them to each other to look at.. Maybe there will be another name you 2 have in common..
