NUVA RING

Has anyone used the Nuva Ring with satisfaction? I just started school and figured now is NOT the time to be having a little one.

Anyone? If so let me know your likes and dislikes and the pros and cons, such as the mood swings, cravings, weight gain…anything. I know that everyone is different but I need to see different perspectives of this. It's either I get on Nuva Ring or the mirena

I already had the implanon and will not get that ever again for the reason that I developed fibrosis and it took 1 ½ to take it out and nearly sent to outpatient surgery because of the cling my arm had on it. Plus it made me real depressed and moody. I have heard good and bad and I hope that I dont get pregnant on it :-/

I used the NUVA RING. The only good thing is that you dont have to take a pill everyday. I did not really like it too much though. It would sometimes make sex uncomfortable. I also had ALOT of yeast infections after I started the nuva ring and they didnt get any better after I stopped. Not sure if there was a connection there or not. I never had any trouble the it just falling out, but it would come out during sex also. Im pregnant now, but wasnt on the ring while I became pregnant. I would never go back to the ring.

Hated mirena. I doubt you'll find very many people who do like it. As for the nuva ring I loved it except for the fact that bacterica can cling to it and cause uti's and it made me gain weight which no other birth control has done. I also got pregnant on it. Had an alarm set to take it out and insert it at the same time every month. I had it fall out during sex and didn't realize and didnt put it back in within 3 hours and ended up getting pregnant. So if you mess up even once with it, you can get pregnant. I now have the paraguard iud and love it!

I got the Implanon. It's a little rod that the doc puts in your arm. It's about the size of a match stick and Its good for 3 years. Ive heard the Nuva Ring can fall out easily. Its actually your personal preference. I wanted something that I wouldn't have to mess with. Good Luck
