There's some girls who have had back pain for the rest of their life's because of the epidural... not all cases are the same but I personally wouldn't risk it. Besides you want this one Time to be a full experience with pain and all because you said it yourself only chance you got. You'll be fine, you are strong enough and you'll see it the moment you got your baby in your arms <3 it's a blessing

I had an epidural with my first and went natural with my second and honestly, for me, it was much easier naturally. Just being able to walk around in between contractions does wonders.

Breathing is key. Whatever works for you just don't pant or hold your breath you will counteract the progress if you tense up too much. Try to move as much as possible and if your hospital has tubs in the labor rooms use it. It really helped me relax and dialate quicker. Also if you have someone with you during labor who will remind you that you can do it and to breathe through the contractions that is really helpful. Both of mine have been natural and planning the same with this one in october :) good luck!

Ask your dr for a "last call" for the epidural that may help.

I went natural with my first and plan to do it again with this one. It will be painful but not all the time.  It is just the contractions that are painful. And then the pushing. But once you have pushed the baby out and it is then snuggling with you all of the pain goes away. it is like magic! You get such a rush of hormones. My midwife told me that is will be the worst pain you have ever felt and the best day of your life. Haha and she was right. Our bodies are made to do this. Women can cope with a lot of pain. :) good luck!!
