Nervous about hcg quantitaive testing

So at first everything was going normal with docotor appts. I was to visit the nurse when i am eight weeks and then the docotor a week later. The receptionist called back and said the doctor wants me to go for hcg & pregesterone level checks and then to repeat the hcg in 48 hours to make sure my numbers are doubling as they should. I don't know why this makes me more nervous as I am sure there are plenty of women out there who are wishing their doctors would do the same after just one miscarriage but it does make me more nervous. i was just wondering if someone could post the range of levels during the first few weeks, I am about five weeks now. I was also wondering if anyone would care to share their pregnancy success post m/c. Thanks Thanks Thanks. I am trying not to but I will be holding my breath until I hear the results. I know it won't chage the outcome but i can't help it =-).

I know I shouldn't be nervous and my doctor is GREAT as I didn't even ask for the levels to be checked, he is doing that on his own. I feel really different about this pregnancy than the last one. With the last one I didn't want to tell people right away that we were pregnant, the timing of it all just never made sense and in hindsight I guess I knew somewhere along the way it wouldn't last. This time I want to shout it from the rooftops (my husband says no - good thing he is never on this website LOL) and tell everyone. I just feel 'different' this time - maybe just more pregnant (more symptoms) who knows anyways. Thanks for the leves mamaofonetrying for two and yes I knew most of you could relate - congrats on your pregnancy as well, and thanks for the responses as always joyrenee, I can always count on the ladies from this forum to bring me down out of the rafters!!

Your doc sounds wonderful to care enough! Most doctors brush a woman off if she is worried and needs her levels checked, so the fact he wants to give you reassurance is really good. Don't be nervous! Hopefully everything is going to be just fine!

I think most of us on here can relate to you! After I missed m/c back in sept. I got pregnant again in Nov. I was so scared!!! I also had some spotting early on a week after I found out....Dr. wouldnt do anything, as it was normal. I just told myself, lets see the Hb(1st u/s) and I will be Ok, yea it worked for about a week and then I would start to get scared again. Then the 2nd u/s( the time I found out I m/c last time) and again I was ok for a week and scraed again. But by the time I got to 16weeks and a 3rd u/s my nevers have came down alot......I am now just about 23weeks with a BOY, and I feel as this pregnancy will make it to the end.....Congrats and have a great 9months!
