Thanks ladies for the advice, I really do appreciate it. Alison I do believe I will be putting the scale away. That just seems like the logical thing to do, so thank you for telling me how it is. Lily, I'm glad to know that I'm not alone in my feelings of weight and body issues. I know I'm definitely going to gain weight I'm just going to look to making it from healthier foods because my choices in food will not only effect me but my baby as well.
I do feel much better about the whole thing, but I'm a work in progress.
Hi Moni
I suffered with the same fear as I was always a REALY big girl... Got sick of the way I looked so I went on a DIET and it worked.... I felt great bout my new body and the way everyone complemented me.... Im 23+wks and have picked up wieght but i wouldn't say tooo much tooo fast!!! I had horrible morning sickness where I could only survive on vegtables.... And had the luck of craving fruits... I do belive if you eat all the rite this during pregnancy you'll have a healty baby and a healthy pregnancy not making you feel like you did all the work on the diet for nothing!!
Good Luck
:)
Step #1, put the scale away. Your doctor will let you know if you are on a good target of weight gain etc. Ask them to let you know if they think you are gaining too much or too fast. Also seeing a dietitian will really help. They will give you complete menu ideas based on the pregnancy and your weight and height etc. The last thing you need to watch is the scale. Congratulations and enjoy your pregnancy!
I had to see a dietitian with my first as they did not believe I was eating properly or gaining enough weight. It was very helpful.
