New set of twins

I'm almost 14 weeks with twins ..... I already have a 10 year old daughter .... I had a natural vaginal birth with my 10 year old and now that I'm having twins I'm super scared I'm going to have to have a C- Section ..... I've even been having nightmares about the birth .....

For me research helps me feel better, im not sure if you feel this would help you but i like to know any options of what may arrise and be ready for anything or at least understand whats happening...

I had a C section with my last delivery as she never dropped and in the end wasnt ever going to... so it wasnt planned but it had to happen... thru school i was able to watch a live c section delivery so i knew the process from that end but never had surgery before in my life! So it is a different view on things... my Dr was the one who did the Csection and it was over and done in no time! i did feel a little nauseous at the begining but it passed and then i felt really tired and i almost think i fell asleep(i honestly hadnt slept in days!) cause when i opened them my BF was sitting beside me, and i dont remember him coming in the room.... then from there it was smooth sailing and went really fast! my BF doesnt do well in hospitals so the nurse took my camera and took pictures for us, and then before i knew it they were done stitching a i was off to recovery :) When they had broke my water for during the induction it was REALLY green so they knew she most likely had it in her lungs and she did so she went to the NICU, it was after midnight when we went up to post partum and the NICU not only was getting my daughter but a couple of babies flown in so there was no way we were gonna see her that night... so off to bed we went! plus i needed sleep! As for my recovery, it was awesome! i never once was in pain, i swear i couldnt even tell i had surgery! so i am 95% sure im having a elected c section this round... if by chance this baby drops(which i doubt will happen) then ill try natural first :) but im gonna have my Dr do the section again and im hoping for same results!

I know you know this but not all twin deliveries end in c sections so definitely dont think your doomed to have one, research whats going on but focus on why csections are need not so much the surgery itself , like the benefits out weighing the risks, ect and that type of thing ya know that way its not just a surgery to you is to give you babies the safest entry into the world :) I really hope you delivery works out tho! good luck! and congrats on the twins! :)

C-sections are nothing to be afraid of. I had an emergency c-section almost 5 yrs ago with my son, and I am now almost 18 wks with baby #2. It is a major surgery, but it's also a common one. The recovery time may be a little longer, but if it makes the delivery easiers on your babies then it's the best choice in my opinion. Congrats on twins!!!
