hi everyone I am new to this forum, I will be 36 weeks on Saturday, I have a 4 1/2 year old little boy & this one is a little girl. I've been on bed rest for 4 weeks now because I am 2 cm & 80% effaced, lost my mucus plug on Monday, were trying to make it to 37 weeks! anyone else been this effaced and lost their mucus plug, but stayed the same for a week and a half?
okay, thanks everyone :) all my doctor has said is that I have constant irregular contractions & that he doesn't see me making it past 38 weeks
Your plug loss doesn't mean impending labour. You can lose it for weeks before your baby is born - they usually will constantly regenerate. You can also be dilated and/or effaced for weeks with no change. Contractions and/or bloody show are more reliable things to look for when looking for preterm labour.
