Normal?

Ok so I'm 38 weeks and according to my OB I am 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced sorry if that's TMI… but I've been in and out of the hospital 3 times because of strong regular contractions that have been non stop since last Tuesday but they haven't made anything progress. This morning my lower back mainly my hips hurt and through out the day it got progressively worse. I did some light cleaning but mainly sat in my chair and worked on crafts all day and now the pain has gotten to the point where I need help to stand up, sit down move in any direction. What do I do? I can't get a hold of my OB and I've tried calling their after hours number as well. Like I've said I've gone in 3 times but I get sent home because the contractions that I'm having aren't progressing anything. Is this normal and what should I do?

Yeah. You're in early labor. But not active labor. Once you hit 4cm they'll keep you for seeing progress.
Unfortunately you're stuck until then.
You'll KNOW when you go into active labor. Trust me.
