I never thought my BF smelled but now I'm always telling him he needs to take a shower or brush his teeth. I feel bad and he pouts that I think he smells but I try to be nice about it.
I must be the odd one. Haha. I'm not a smoker, but I was raised around them so the smell never bothered me much. As long as it wasn't in my face. Even now it doesn't bother me much when I visit my family. (my fiancé and his family don't smoke either so I'm not around it too much) food is the only thing that makes me sick.
He is really nice about my comments. I just feel bad that I think he stinks! haha
He is a building contractor and it's been in the high 90s here...so between the sweaty heat and the smoky clothes...I just point to the bathroom when he walks in the door.
I kind of want to live in a bubble till this baby comes.
I have never been a smoker. I hate the smell and has always made me sick but now that I am pregnant it's 100 times worse. I work at a bar and thank god it's illegal to smoke inside but all the customers come back inside reaking making me want to puke! I feel for you.
I would ask your DH to wash his hands and try to stay outside an extra minute to air off after having a cig. If he has to change his shirt so be it. It's his child you are caring and he needs to be more considerate. Your not being a b!tch.
I know how you feel. I never had a problem with my nose when I was pregnant with my boys but with this girl my smells have been off of the charts. Some days are getter than others but even at 28.5 weeks I still get those smells where I just am completely overwhelmed. I would ask nicely for your DH and your friends to keep back if they're going to do something that irritates your senses (smoking/drinking/ and ask Dh to help with the dishwasher =)) and hopefully if they care enough they will understand. It gets a lot better girl! Hang in there!
