OFF TOPIC...ANYBODY INTO COSMETOLOGY OR IN BEAUTY SCHOOL

Sorry off topic, but I'm asking because ever since my pregnancy my hair has thinned out and is very very very very damaged...also I've been flat ironing my hair for about a year which isn't helping at all either. The other day my co-worker suggested relaxing my hair...my experience with relaxing my hair hasn't been good. I did it a few years ago and my hair FELL OUT!!! But I also did it wrong, I relaxed my hair and the next day I dyed my hair so maybe it was too much chemicals for my hair to handle. My question is, would it be better to just relax my hair insted of always flat ironing it and if so should I do it myself or go to a salon??? And is it safe to do it while pregnant ( I only have a couple more weeks to go so i definitely can wait, but just wondering). Thanks and again sorry that its off topic.

paul mitchell super skinny serum is the best product ever..thats my opinion. ive been a hairdress for almost 7 years, and it works great on any hair type, you can put it in wet or dry hair, flat iron over it, it smoothes frizz out..its my favorite and smells so yummy!!

even sauve makes a great cheap heat spray for your hair that i use and it works very well.  It is similar to the matrix brand.  I also agree that biolage is so good for your hair.  It's  little pricey but worth it even to use a few times a week and it smells great!

I would wait to get your hair relaxed there is a great conditioner and shampoo at any salon or Sally's Beauty Supply store, Try using Biolage or Biotera.... they work great in any hair thats damaged. When using the flat iron always put some kind of spray or cream to protect your hair. If you have  a sally' s there they can help you with what to put on your hair before using  the iron.... Wait atleast 4/6 wks after you have your baby to get a relaxer an let a professional do it. Last thing you must wait atleast 6wks after to get your hair colored. Hope I have helped!

After you give birth, you will lose hair. When you're pregnant, all the hormones cause your hair to become thick and grow a lot. And instead of going through a normal "shedding phase" like a non-pregnant woman would go through, pregnant women skip over that.

Thus, after your pregnancy is over, your hair falls out, sometimes in alarming amounts.

From what I've read, your hair doesn't react well to the chemicals during pregnancy. I would wait until after you deliver. I would suggest a salon as well.

Ok. 1st if you are not Try a Good shampoo & cond. and getting it cute more is a need to do....For some reason our hair damages ez-er......After you relax your hair you may even still have to use the flat iron.....I would go and get in done at a salon, if you dont do it right, you could be sorry. And doing it in pregnancy Im not really sure..... You can get a good spray that you put on before you flat iron it to protect it.........
