OPKS used as HPTS

I've heard women say before that they used OPKS as early HPTS. My only question is: When women do this and say they were positive, are they looking for a dark line on the OPK that matches or is darker than the control  line? I know for use as an OVULATION predictor, this is how you determine O, but I"m not sure if this is the same guideline for determining early pregnancy.

Thanks!

ya...my OPK was close to positive on CD 24 (weird but they think I ovulate twice a cycle) and then yesterday the line was very faint so I suspected that the faint line was just my LH dwindling down but wanted to hear for sure. Thanks for the replies!!

It is usually darker than the control line but opks shouldn't be used as hpt. I went that whole road yesterday and even got a light positive but it is all negative. So who knows!

I've never tried it but from what I've read, they're all getting positive OPKS which is why they suspect pregnancy. Meaning that the line is as dark or darker than the control line.
