OT - When did your babies walk?

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I have been on this forum.  Hope all of you ladies are doing great. For those of you who remember me I  have been super busy with my now 13 month old baby boy Franky and working part time from home for my MIL's company doing some sales support on the phone/computer.  Just the right balance of work and home for me since I get to go host meetings monthly and help out with that to get out of the house. I am just loving being Franky's mom... he is such a lovely little boy, and he is so good, smart,  great eater, sleeper and super happy makes me want another now, but I have to wait a while.  So, I have been lurking a little bit missing being pregnant  and waiting until I can TTC again ...lol :)

I want to know what ages did your babies walk for those of you who have or had toddlers?  My boy is 13 months old in a few days and is not budging...lol.  I do everything to encourage him.  He is an exceptional crawler and even climbs my stairs, and gets himself up and down the couch.  BUT, he will not walk he goes up on his tip toes, straitens his legs to go onto his butt, and takes off crawling everytime.  It's like it's faster for him so he doesn't see the point.  I know some babies take longer, but sheesh.  I am a small girl and this boy is 27lbs and 32 inches long.  He is huge and my back hurts every night from carrying him around all the time OH and not to mention the dirty knees and feet no matter how much I clean haha.  Anything I can do to encourage him?  Any tips would be much appreciated !!

Elijah "walked" about 9-10 months but didn't walk without a hand until he was 11 months old. We would hold his hand by his waist and he'd walk without our support, but he had to have your hand to walk, he was too scared at first to do it on his own. I actually held a string and he held the other end and walked, as long as he held something he'd do it but if you let go he'd stop and whine. Aubryana's 8 1/2 months and has started cruising and will go from the couch or ottoman to you just turning and stepping in between, but she still wobbles a good bit, I can kinda get her to walk holding my hands, but she gets excited and bounces from one foot to the other, lol.

16 months for my first. She moved faster crawling than walking and I'd carry her everywhere so she refused.

Lexi is 8 months and stands with one hand for support. She'll walk a short distance if you hold her hands. My cousins baby walked at 11 months.

My oldest walked right at a year.  My second took her first steps the day before her first birthday.  My third didn't even crawl till 10 months/walked at 15 months.  My fourth was crawling around 9 months and walked around 13-14 months.  Lily is 11 months and is JUST NOW starting to pull herself up.  I've noticed that pudgier babies (mine all were with the exception of my first) tend to crawl/walk a little later than their skinnier counterparts.  I used to joke with people when they'd ask me if one of mine were walking yet.  I'd say "Are you kidding, that's a lot of butt to get up off the ground and balance" LOL
