OT I cried today..

I couldn't help crying today, my baby boy....started walking!!! I can't believe he's walking. He's 11 months old tomorrow, and this is the only thing so far besides talking that he's taken a longer time to do. He's been walking around holding stuff for four months, but wasn't brave enough to do it alone until today.YAY he's walking, but it's so sad for me, I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday, not almost a year ago...

awee congrats!!!! its amazing to see them walking huh? my daughter started walking at 9 1/2 months and boy was it funny to see such a little person walking.. it just looked strange at first cus she was so littler

Congratulations!  But you know what?  He's not "late" at doing this - DH works with a woman whose daughter didn't start walking until she was 18 mos. old.....not THAT'S late!! ;-)

It was very exciting, and I'm proud of my little man for being brave finally and taking his first steps by himself, but it is bittersweet like you said chantal21. Where has my little baby gone?

Awwww, congrats! I am sorry you were emotional, but I am sure I will be EXACTLY the same way when Jaxson starts crawling/walking....

awww! congrats! I know how you feel though. Since my son started walking last month...I always wonder where my little baby has gone. It's bittersweet.

I know what you mean....my granddaughter just turned 1 last week and she started cruising at 9 1/2 months, and started walking by 10 months.  She was wobbly for the first month, but now, she RUNS everywhere.  My daughter just looks at her and says "what happened to my baby"?  They grow up so fast.......
