Ok....so I'm due today.....

I know from previous experience that due dates don't mean a heck of a lot - babies come when they're good and ready (or when they're forced to, as was the casw with DS).  But, still, why do we put so much stock in that date, anyway?

Here I am, exactly 40 weeks, and it doesn't seem like anything's happening - yet.  Baby is still high up, no change in discharge, no contractions.  In fact, I'm still feeling awesome (can't complain about that!)

I'm back to the OB this morning to see if anything's going on "in there" - I'll update you ladies once I get back.

Thanks, ladies :-)

Well, my OB checked me and says my cervix is still the same as last week - which is, doing absolutely NOTHING ;-)

If nothing happens in the meantime, I have another appointment on Monday morning at which time we'll talk induction for next week.  Total déjà vu - this is EXACTLY what happened to me last time....had an appointment on my due date (which was also a Tuesday!) and then came back the following Monday.  Induction process started on Monday evening, and DS was here by Tuesday at 9:44pm.

Hey, is there someone on here who can update us when you do go into labor? Or are we going to have to be patient and wait until you come back to let us know?! LOL!

Nothing was happening to me and three days past my due date I laid down to take a nap and................. my water broke! So even if it seems like nothing is going on labor can strike on a dime.

you never know!!! the whole morning of my due date I was out shopping because I figured this was the ONE day I could be reasonably sure I wouldn't go into labor, LOL, so visiting my dad at his office on his lunch break I started early labor, and a few hours later I was checked in to the hospital. so who knows!

good luck, hope you have an easy (and quick) delivery sometime relatively soon!!! :D

Good Luck Limonada!!!

Only 5% of babies are born on their due dates I heard, I had gotten lucky with my youngest son, I had went into labor the day before his due date and because of the lack of contractions he held out until his due date. I thought it was pretty cool to be apart of that 5%

You never know, it's still morning, and you still have time.
