On Coumadin, found out I'm pregnant

I had a blood clot in October and I've been on coumadin ever since.  When I was in the hospital for the blood clot, they made me stop my birth control pills. It took forever to get an appointment with my gyno to discuss new birth control treatment, and once we found one, it has taken another 4 weeks to get it in from the pharmacy.  I went yesterday to get my birth control under way and I took a prego test before getting started.  It was positive.  What danger am I facing now that I found out I'm about 4-5 weeks pregnant and I've been on coumadin?  I know it can cause birth defects, but what kind of chance do I have of being lucky?

Thank you!
I talked to my Dr. and she took me off the Coumadin.  I'm now getting my prescription for the injections.  I know I'm on the right track now, but I'm scared of the damage that may have already been done.

I'm not sure of the risks, but I'm 17wks pregnant and take Lovenox injections (blood thinner also). My OB doctor told me I would do the injections until I am 36 weeks and then switch to Heparin because it's easier to reverse during delivery if there is an issue. Did you talk to your doctor about this? If I were you, I would call ASAP and see what you should do. Coumadin IS a blood thinner that has to cross your placenta, that's why I had to do the injections. Please call your doctor and keep us posted. Lots of luck to you!
