Ovulation Question

I got my period August 4th, today is August 14th and im STILL on my period. I dont have anything medically wrong with me like ENDO or PCOS or FIBROIDS i dont understand why ive had it so long this month but anyways based on the first day of my period my ovulation date is suppose to be August 16th - August 21st is this still accurate considering ive had a way longer period than usual?

newmommy2bee: we are not doctors and cant really say if there is anything wrong with your baby but you should definantly see your OB asap! bleeding to my knowledge is never a GOOD thing in pregnancy. goodluck!

now these testing kits do they tell you exactly when your ovulating or do you have to like buy one everyday and it will give you a "yes, your ovulating" or a "no, your not ovulating" answer. im really new to this TTC thing and i never really had to worry about this before.

by the way gil, is there something medically wrong with you that is preventing you from conceiving like PCOS or ENDO? i was just wondering. it took my mom 6 years to conceive my brother because she had PCOS. then another 8 years to conceive me and that was with vigorous fertility treatments.

ok so im abt 8 1/2 weeks pregnant, buh around 6weeks i bled for 2 1/2 -3 days, it was like a normal period except the third day it was like a pinkish discharge, so now i want to know could there bee something wrong with my baby or is that just normal.

Normally when i ovulate i get light fluttering cramps in either one or both sides.  I used to have sex almost every day of my fertile week but as i've not conceived in 24 months and am now waiting on my partners sperm analysis results coming back we're cutting it back to 3days before ovulation, day of ovulation and 2 days after just to be on the safe side.

Hopefully his results will come back clear then i will have to be tested again, or he will have to be treated if there is a problem.  I hope this info helps you but i would really recommend the OPK tests as you don't always ovulated every 14days after day 1 of AF.

Im avoiding testing for anything im trying to keep conception as natural as possible my period finally went away yesterday and i TTC today anyways because its the 16th and ill try again on the 19th then again on the 21st.

Hopefully my period wont come at all next month but in any case if it does and i get BFN then i hope at least its relatively normal so i can better track ovulation WITHOUT the use of a testing kit.

Anyways more enlightmenat on WHEN it is im ovulating this month is GREATLY appreciated!

when you say CD1 of AF was 04.08.09 how heavy was it?  the first day of AF is when it's a heavy flow not like a discharge where it may be pink to brown.  I've had 4 days of light discharge and today day 5 i've got my heavy flow with severe cramps.  have you tried using OPK tests to confirm your ovulation date?
