Pain on only one side!

So since I haven't gotten many feed back on here like I do on babycenter I was wondering does anyone get cramps on only one side on your first trimester? Like I hadn't had them just yet and tonight I am having them cramps ok and off like contractions... But mild though. Is it normal?

Thank you lovely ladies for the answers! I haven't had bad cramping since then but I still have that dull pain but now is on my left side. Like I said before I already have a son but my pregnancy with him was very good! No symptoms no pain, no nada! So like with this one I had from scary bleeding to crazy cramping at times, lack of appetite, horrible pain on breast and all kinda crazy stuff... Lol but I'm good. I'll be alright. :)

You could be cramping.. I have been cramping everyday and I'm only 4 weeks and 5 days with my first baby.

I have the same thing, and my doctor said it was normal, as long as you dont start to bleed or arent bent over in pain! :)

Ooh ok. I don't think is anything threating besides my bundle of Joy there. :) Actually I don't really get cramps that are uncomfortable. I get mild ones that I can ignore. But yes, clysta, they are not contraction feeling they just be like how contractions happens in that sense where they die down & come back but it was only for an hour I'm good now. I just kinda got worried because I don't experience cramping of that level often and well is Saturday so I always have to wait to talk to my Doc. But I'm good now! Yay! Thank you beautiful ladies! Cyber hugs! :)

Typically cramping is due to your uterus stretching and growing to accommodate the child. They shouldn't be anything like contractions though, unless you just mean it in the sense that they die down and back--which if so is also normal. Have you had an ultrasound done yet?

I have a cyst on my right ovary, so I tend to have some cramping from time to time. I found out I was pregnant a few days after the cyst was found. I did have a lot of cramping with my previous pregnancy, but my doctor wasn't too concerned since there was no bleeding accompanied with it. It went away before the 2nd trimester. A talk with your doctor about it couldn't hurt and it could ease your mind.

Thank you for the feeds back! No the cramps are not severe they are mild they just like contractions because they came and went... It was like for an hour or so though. They are gone now. I haven't drank much liquid today so that can make total sense!! I just worried because I don't get cramps, not even on my regular menstrual cycles. So having cramps kinda freak me out a bit. Thank you again and God bless.

Cramps in early pregnancy is normal.  If they are severe it is not and would see a dr if they become that way.  Sometimes not being hydrated enough will cause cramping to be worse so make sure you drink lots of water and rest.  Good luck.
