Painful

I'm 28 weeks prego answer lately I've been having this numbness feeling in my left thigh which later becomes sharp burning pain. I could be standing or sitting down and the pain will start in my leg. I told my doctor and she told me to take Tylenol. Is there anyone else with the same problem. If yes, what did you do for the pain?

I have exactly the same thing going on right now. I got it checked out by a doctor.

It turns out it's very common in pregnancy. It's a sensory nerve being pinched. It's called the Meralgia Paresthetica. It runs down your spine, through your groin, and down your leg.

Unfortunately, the only thing the doctor told me I could do is if you feel it acting up, change positions. They won't do any nerve blocks, or xrays or anything like that while you're pregnant. I don't find that tylenol does anything for me.

She did say it should go away right after you give birth. I hope this helps

I have it in my right leg it gets numb and it feels like its on fire and it tingles at the same time its strange but my hips rotated out and sitting on a nerve its ok though

I have problems with my legs too... sometimes it even goes numb while im sleeping. I tried prenatal yoga and it really helps with getting the blood circulating so they aren't as bad! You should try it... Its free if you have  Comcast ondemand... You will find it under health and fitness.. im 29 Weeks now

I have had it a few times in my sleeo and it has woken me up but my doctor said its all normal im 29+3 weeks

I have it in both sides, started in my hips. It's not the muscle but skin. I try to move before it gets too bad but don't take anything.
