Plan B Troubles

One week ago I had sex with my boyfriend and the condom broke. My period had just ended 2 days earlier, so my fertile window was open, but I was not ovulating. I am not on birth control or ready for a child, so we got Plan B and I took it 1 hour- 1.5 hours later. I had taken Plan B with him before about 7 months ago for having unprotected sex (bad decision we both mad & learned from)*** and it worked even though I had it 22 hours later. Last time I took Plan B I experienced a very minor headache and my period arrived a few days late. This time around, I have experienced no discomfort as far as nausea, breast pain, etc, but I noticed some gel-like, thick and clear discharge 5 days ago. Today I noticed some discharge, which isn't abnormal, but when I wiped I found some brown discharge that resembled what I get towards the end of my periods. I am very nervous and my period isn't supposed to be here until 13 days more or less (I have very irregular periods). Have any of you had similar experiences? What about this discharge?

Some people on the am I pregnant forum can help you aswell and I'd say its to early for things to show now the plan b has most likely caused the brown discharge depending on when you took it

Yeah it would be too early for discharge I would think! But sometimes your last period isn't always a period especially if it was lighter than normal. That happened to me anyways. I think you're fine though. Try not to stress ;)

That's what I'm hoping for! I'm not going to panic until my period is late, but with irregular periods it's sometimes hard to tell

And my last period was slightly light when it came to bleeding. I am usually a heavy bleeder until the 4th day but the heaviness stopped on the end of 2nd day.Would having pregnancy discharge be too soon though? It's only been a week since this happened

It could just be old blood. The plan b could've made you spot but it is coming out now. Don't panic you're most likely fine. You can take a pregnancy test 2 weeks after the sex.

I have had that kind of gel-like discharge once or twice before, but the timing of it really scared me after it being right after taking Plan B. I had a yeast infection a little while ago because of sore throat medication and it just doesn't feel like that at all. I think I would have to have some really bad luck if I were pregnant because my boyfriend and I are very careful nowadays with sex.

You usually experience the colored discharge early in pregnancy. It's called implantation blood from the egg attaching itself to your uterine lining. From the sounds of it though I highly doubt you're pregnant. Was your last period a normal period for you? I've taken the plan b pull a couple times before and never experienced those symptoms but as women some discharge is never really a cause for too much concern. It could just be a yeast infection.
