Please help!! Who has very difficulty breathing? Especially at night?

Hi. I am 17 weeks pregnant with twins. I am having very difficulty breathing.

After I eat a full meal, I feel like my stomach is pushing against my lungs, and I can't breathe.

Also, I can't sleep at night. Everytime I lay down, I feel like I have shortness opf breath and I gasp for air. I also have stuffy nose at night. I use nasonex but it doesn't help at all.

Did anyone else experience this while they're pregnant? Will it get any better? Please let me know. I haven't slept for weeks. I am so frustrated.

Yeah, I have pregnant friends but most of them do not have breathing difficulties as severe as mine. I even went to a pulmonologist and he checked my lungs and said I have no blood clots or anything.

My lungs just feel so full all the time. And the area below my lungs feel heavy all the time.
I really need to find a way to sleep at night. I think my insomnia is not healthy for my babies because it is causing me a lot of stress.

Hey. I am sorry that you are going through this but it happens with pregnancy. I am sure that since you are pregnant with twins you def know not to sleep on your back and sleep on your left side with a pillow between your knees to keep your spine aligned. As for the breathing (especially with twins) your nasal membranes get to be swollen (like everything else in pregnancy) and that cause the congestion. I have heard that saline works well but if you can't seem to get a fix on it then definitely ask your doctor about what else you can do =)
