Please help me anybody who has gone through this :(

hey im really confused i went for my first ultrasound scan(oct 7th) they measured me at 6 weeks they saw a baby the sack and yolk but no heartbeat could be detected but i still have the all pregnancy symptoms sore back, nausea, heartburn,  and positive pregnancy test just last night could they just not be able to see my babys heartbeat yet so soon? my docter only opted for a d and c and when i asked if i could have another scan he replied with if its not beating i dont see how it could start again... also had some bleeding and clots earlier on before i knew i was pregnant but nothing since i went to the er the first time and found out i was pregnant....... seeing as i have 2 healthy children im just not sure i feel like this baby is gone yet??

well didnt get to go for my tests today my other half decided he should go to future shop instead to buy videos games of course but i was crouched down putting a movie on for my kids when i sneezed when i went pee i wiped and some pink blood :(

Yes you definitely should get/see another doctor. He is caring for your baby and should cooperate with you not contest what you wish. You should wait til your next appt and not worry. It is still early so the hb may have just been too faint for the u/s. Wish you well!

Hi needzadvise! That happened to me & I had a miscarriage. The doctor says a embryo can stop living and our body will take days, weeks and sometimes months before it register that the embryo is not longer alive. Also as long your body has HCG you will have symptoms till they drop under 100 or so. When this doctor told you they couldn't hear a heartbeat they should send straight for blood test to check your HCG level!!! But don't discourage, 6 weeks is so early still. I had heard women actually being told that their embryo don't have a heartbeat and two weeks later there would be a loud heartbeat. You need a better doctor. I hope your baby is safe and may God be with you!!

The best way to go go is to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Don't look too much into your symptoms, they don't mean anything. For as long as you have ANY hCG hormone in your body you'll have them. So you can still "feel" pregnant even if they're dropping.

thanks right now im perfectly fine physically but the waiting and not knowing is what making me nuts i have the most horrible heartburn today to the point its making me get sick. waiting for my man to get home so i can go and get these tests done and find out what going on. im hopeful but also scared of being hopeful as i dont want to be let down :(

I had something similar happen to me when I was pregnant. I went in for a scan at 6 weeks and no heartbeats. I went back at 9 weeks and there were 2 little hearts beating away. My boys are 3 now and perfect in every way. Not a thing wrong with them.

aww these story totally make me happy to see that maybe there can be a positive outcome im happy that all bleeding has stopped cuz that was worrying me the most and excited for my bloodwork today ( well not the needle part lol) hoping i dont have to wait all weekend for the results and they can just get them immediately to my doctor having to wait another weekend would just be horrible all this wondering if my babys still there or not is driving me crazy i still have the symptoms and my tests r still coming up positive i hope these are good signs :)

When I had my miscarriages they were all around 8-9 weeks. We found the heartbeat on all of them around 6 weeks and then they were gone. It usually started with bright pink spotting then I would go to the dr and then the next few nights I would get really bad cramps and run a fever. I would deffinently get another us before. This time around my dates were off so when I was 7 weeks since my last period I was only 5 weeks so the baby was measuring like it had passed at 5 weeks but he had me come in a week later and there was a very strong heartbeat. I am now 15 weeks and super happy this baby has decided to stick :) Good luck!!

So I had some brown discharge yesterday only when I wiped but for the whole day but this morning when I wake up there is nothing at all :s I'm kinda confused I thoughtbi was miscarrying but doesn't the blood get darker and redder not stop all together

how were your hcg levels i havent had mine taken at all yet were they normal before u found babys heartbeat i fear if my levels are not high enough i wont be able to get another scan at all

I was bleeding at 5 weeks and had a ultrasound at 6 weeks and we didn't find a heartbeat either but now I'm 10 weeks and the baby is healthy, they found the heartbeat at 8 weeks. I would get another scan.

so i had some bleeding just once when i wiped and now having brown blood only when i i wipe never any on the pad but no cramps i am pretty positive i have a uti though. i took another pregnancy test today since ive been bleeding again the baby line showed up before my own and is much darker....i also saw my doctor today she is sending me for an hcg blood test tommorow and also checking about my uti she said the bleeding isnt a good sign but that i still have all my pregnancy symptoms is :) still not to sure :s anybody else had this kind of stuff happen?? what was your outcome?

i would definately get a second opinion, but as Clysta said...positive pregnancy tests do not tell you whether or not the pregnancy is viable. I had a D&C back in March and had a positive pregnancy test for 2 months after having the surgery. I finally got my cycle back @ the two month mark which is when my hormone levels were less than 5. Then my tests finally started comming back negative.

yes the 1st time it happened I miscarried the second time they found a heart beat I'm now 30w. I had to go back at 8w to see if there was a heart beat. They also took blood every other day and kept me in over night for 3 days for observation.

So u had this happen twice once that u detected a heartbeat at a later date and once that resulted in miscarriage?

I had this problem twice. 1st time was back in November. I had a scan at 7w 5d and there was no heart beat had to have a d n c. I also had to have a scan on this baby and there was no heart beat but when I went back for another scan it was there. But if I hadn't had that scan I wouldn't have knowing had miscarried. I think I bled slightly for about half hour n then stopped didn't bleed again then till after my d n c. Sorry your going through this its not nice and very upsetting but just remember there are plenty of women on here to talk to.

yah i just took one last night and the baby line showed up before my line even did lol. Even looking at it now the baby line is much darker then my own

when I miscarried I'd had a small bleed, so I did another pregnancy test and the line had got fainter, over the next week that continued, when your early on in preg the hormones do drop quite quickly, so If your pos line is still strong , there may be a good chance of a pos outcome for you

i hadnt eaten all day before my ultrasound at 3:40 could that have anything to do with no heartbeat being detected

They can. It really can go either way, so it's hard to say for sure.

oh yah i have definately been doing my reading and i have seen that but i seen that lots of woman can wake up totally symptom free and then miscarry within a few days isnt that right?

The problem is, symptoms and positive tests actually don't tell that the pregnancy is viable. For as long as you have the hCG hormone in your body you'll have both, and the hCG is going to be in your system until all the tissue is out of your body. In some cases even after it's gone it can still linger. HOWEVER, this happens quite often and a second opinion is definitely necessary in this case. Your doctor should never have jumped to that conclusion after only one scan.

yah it hurt kinda he made it seem like i had no options or anything he isnt my regular doctor hes my old doctor because my new one is so hard to get an apt with but i wont be returning to him . he wouldnt even give me any information and when i asked about a second opinion he acted like it was pointless and i was dumb for asking
