Positive stories about slow rising HCG levels

I'm yet another person whos HCG levels aren't doubling (700 48hrs ago, 1000 currently). I had an ectopic 6mnths ago and feel Im heading down the same track. The worst part is waiting for it to end and having to pretend everything is ok (at work etc). This is heartbreaking. Does anyone actually have any positive stories about HCG levels correcting themselves and going on to normal pregnancies?

I hope you still check this post, because I am wondering how everything turned out. I'm having troubles. My hcg level 5 days ago was 32, then it went up about 15% to 36 when tested 2 days ago. I just had it tested again this morning & am keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed that the levels doubled or tripled, even!  I've been having VERY light spotting for 11 days now, but no cramping or pain.

I SINCERELY hope your baby's heartbeat is strong. I have to wait (yet again) for more blood tests in 3days...and be a paranoid mess in between!

well i wish you the best of luck im kinda going through the same thing exsept my hcg levels dropped a little i go tomorrow to find out if my baby still has a heart beat good luck

I sure do.  infact, the only time my hcg levels doubled appropriately was the pregnancy that I miscarried.  
With my first DS I started spotting so I got hcg checked.  it only went up 20%.  Doc told me to prepare for a miscarriage and she was not going to check again because if they werent going up now they probably would never go up.  I went in at 7 weeks and found the heart beat.  my little boy is now 2.5 yrs.

With my second DS I started to full out bleed, had my hcg checked.  it went up almost 60%.  was very prepared for a miscarriage and did not.  he is now 3.5 months.

I would ask for an ultrasound at 6.5 weeks and go from there.  Good luck to you.
