Possibly pregnant and scared

This weekend starting Friday July 4th I had some lower abdominal cramping like pains. I did not think anything about because I have abdominal pain frequently. Saturday came and I still had some cramping. Sunday Came and I was extremely fatigue and did not feel like doing anything. I have not had my period since May 20, 2008(start of last period). I took a pregnancy test Monday July 7th and the test came up positive. To double check myself I took another one Today, Tuesday July 8th and it came back negative. Could I be pregnant or not. My issue is I'm currently not working so I do not have insurance for doctor appointments. I start a job July 14th, but the insurance will not kick in until 90 days of employment. I called my normal OBGYN that i've been going to for years, but because I no longer Have insurance they advised me that my appointment would be $500, and I just don't have that amount of money. I'm scared because if I'm pregnant, I'm also experiencing burning urination and a discharge and i'm scared that might affect my pregnancy if i'm pregnant. Please help me and lead me in the right directions. i'm 22 and this will be my first pregnancy.

I would do what everyone has said about the Medicaid.  In the meantime, you can look for a Pregnancy Help Center in your area and they will normally give you a test for free.  I went to 1 once and I had insurance.  I was just too impatient to wait to get in to see a doctor.  I'd done a test at home and it was + but I just couldn't believe it and I went to this clinic.  Everyone was so nice.  They also did a transvaginal ultrasound.  I didn't pay a penny nor did they even ask about insurance or anything.  They just wanted to help.  They said that if I needed it, they could help with diapers, formula, baby furniture, etc.  So there is def help out there.  Please keep us posted.

I was on Medicaid when I was pregnant. What you can do is go to a pregnancy clinic for a free test (Birthright is a great one, if you have one in your area!) and they'll give you a piece of paper confirming pregnancy if you get a positive. You NEED that paper in order to get on Medicaid.

And you'll also be eligible for WIC (milk, formula, cheese, cereal, etc.).

You definitely need to see the doctor about the possible UTI (urinary tract infection). Medicaid will cover your appointments THREE MONTHS prior to actually being approved.

Just let the doc's office know you're awaiting your Medicaid approval. You can have Medicaid and other insurance at the same time.

Did you use the same type of test when you tested both times? That could be the reason for the BFN.

If you are pregnant, you'll be ok to wait until after that 90days are up. just make sure you get your insurance ASAP. And you may qualify for Medicaid or Medical (depending on the state you live in)

Go to your local WIC office and look into it. WIC will help you with food and things like that. And you can go to your local FREE clinic for a pregnancy test and a note for wic showing you had a ++ test.

SOUNDS LIKE A BFP TO ME.  YOU SHOULD CALL YOUR LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT.  THEY CAN HELP.  THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THEY CAN DO TO HELP.

ok well it sounds like you may be pregnant. cramping pains in your lower abdomin is a sign of pregnancy. you can go to the dollar store and buy a few of there pregnancy test. they do work they worked for me.or if you have like clinics in your area you could always go there and try to get a pregnancy test done they are usually cheeper there. here where i live we have a few of them and when i first found out i was pregnant i went there and it was free for like all test. so you can try that, and if you are indeed pregnant you can always get medicare which would cover your entire pregnancy. i was on it for a while and it was great. so try that since you dont have a job you shouldnt have and dificulties getting approved. let me know what happens.
