Pre-Pregnancy Preparation

Folic Acid alone  or Prenatal Vitamins??

In preparation for getting pregnant, I am confused on what is best in terms of vitamin supplements. My doctors says to take a folic acid supplement so I have started to take 1 mg. per day. Some of my female friends tell me that I should be taking the prenantal vitamins already to prepare but I am not taking  their word for it as maybe too much of a good thing isn't good. I try and eat a balanced diet although with my busy schedule it is sometimes difficult.

I want to give myself the best shot possible at having a successful pregnancy and would appreciate an educated professional's advice on the best choice.

Thank you.

What happened?  I thought we warned AF not to show up.  Well, what a stubborn *****.

Anyway, here I am again with nothing brilliant to say.  I will say with the utmost certainty that I know it'll happen for you very soon, and I really can't wait till it does. :)  But you have the right idea, I hear taking the back seat approach works like a charm. ;)

So, any plans for New Year's?  I ended up cancelling the whole party thing.  Luckily, there's another one going on that I don't have to do anything for except for show up.  Ah, the best kind...

OMG!  CONGRATS!!!!!  I've been so busy here today that I'm barely checking the site now.  I am so thrilled for you.  Things will be great this time, you'll see.  I'm so excited, I'm crying.  Dumb hormones.  See what you have to look forward to? :)

Seriously though, enjoy your pregnancy.  You deserve it. :)

Thank you all for your congrats. I really do think the prenatals have worked! Not exactly with getting me pregnant but definitely with preparing my body!

Tarajanes.. I really thought you would be right along with me. I can't say don't be upset because I know how upsetting it really is but as you know, I was ready to throw in  the towel and have a break for a bit if not for my +! It's very tough but you know what? There is something to be said for that "I give up attitude!"... I think both sc1 and I received our BFP just as we were disappointed and lost all hope! With your attitude, I know you will get your positive very soon! Heck, that BD marathon everyday may help for you too,,,, it's tiring but seemed effective in helping us not miss any days!

Welcome all the new girls! Nice to have you! These ladies are wonderful and you'll see.. we're here to support you!

Have a wonderful Christmas!

Tarajanes, please have a drink for me! LOL
