Pre Term Labor

I am wondering if there are any moms out there who had a preemie baby but were able to get pregnant again have a "normal" pregnancy. We are thinking of trying for baby #3 but our 2nd one was a 34 weeker and I am terrified I wont be able to carry another baby to full term. Any stories or suggestions? Thanks

i cant say that i was able to carry full term after having a premie but i was carrying twins so i was bound to have them early

there is a shot called 17-P that im a firm believer helped me carry the twins longer than expected...i made it to 34 weeks with my twins after delivering my daughter last year at 32 weeks

i would talk to your doc and see what they recommend...if they know what caused the preterm labor it will be easier but even if they dont, you will be monitored much closer which is the most important step to preventing preterm labor again

I think it really depends on your situation. With my BF's mother, her first was a preemie and she had a stillbirth after that, but she carried two more full-term.

In 1998 my son was born at 30 weeks, 2002 my daughter born at 39 weeks. Relax, elevate your feet, no vacuuming, or mopping these are things that will help substantially. (Dr. recommended) Good luck and go for it!

It depends on the reason you went into early labor. For example if you delivered early due to pre-eclampsia theres a good chance you will go on to have a normal pregnancy this time around. However if you delivered early to due an issue with the cervix, you can risk it happening again. If you have a talk with your OB who knows your medical history he/she will be able to go through any risks that there might be, if any.

I am 7 weeks pregnant with my 3rd. I went into labor with my first at 29 weeks and my 2nd at 34 weeks. I didn't smoke, drink,do any drugs.  Not this advice you were hoping for im sure. Just remember the little things. Get more rest than usual. Keep as much stress out of your life as possible. I was extremely active with my first two pregnancies. I have made sure to take it easy in hopes of a smoother pregnancy. Good luck with everything.
