The pain in my stomach area started when I was young..probably like 8-9 years old, way before my first period.
Very bad cramping, sharp pains, sometimes so bad my legs would go numb.( that only happened a few times ) very gassy as well, constant gas pains...the pain was just constant, didnt get better or worse when my period came along just stayed the same, most times its was a serious pain in the *** to get out of bed.
I've had a scope done and ultrasounds, all came back clear, I also saw a gynaecologist she said all seemed normal. I then went on depo and the pains went away, just like that.... The tricky part doctors cant figure out is that I had these pains before I had my first period so they assumed it was something other than my reproductive system, although starting depo helped clear my pains...a bit of a mystery.
I realize being on depo for that long is not the best idea so I decided to get off and my game plan was too get my period back, and regular then I would start the pill and when my boyfriend and i are ready to have children I would be ready and wouldnt have to deal with the waiting game of depo.
If it turns out I am pregnant it wouldnt be a terrible thing, it would be a surprise! to say the least, but we could handle it I'm sure. I just dont like this waiting game.
Stress and concern can cause nausea, as can a few other things. (I live with 24/7 nausea, so I've done a lot of research into it) The stomach pain you said you've had. Has your doctor ever done an Endoscopy, biopsy's, etc? Can you describe at all what the pain is like? (Sorry, this doesn't pertain to the question but it might help a little with the rest)
It can take your body several months to readjust to coming off of birth control, especially when you're on Depo. Most women will take at least 6 weeks to a year before it fully leaves their body. Many other things including stress (and there are more kinds of stress than just the typical bad stress) change in schedule, work, schooling, moving, medicines, sleep schedule, etc.
Having sex without protection when you're not wanting a child is indeed a very big mistake, but it happens. It's just a matter of learning from it and preventing it from happening in the future. I think a pregnancy test would still help to put your mind at ease.
Thanks so much for your answer, I'm not trying to conceive, I just came off the needle because I had been on for approx 6 years and knew it was time to stop. The reason I began the needle was of stomach pains that could not be described, so my doctor told me to try the depo provera and see if the pains went away, which they did ( at the time I was also looking for a good birth control method, I hit two birds with one stone) Having the sex without a condom was just a silly and probably stupid mistake. I'm now worried I may be pregnant, I have a nausea un easy feeling off and on today. Although, my period is heavier than yesterday, almost full period like, not so much spotting. I'm confused...I should wait it out and take a test next week?
It could honestly be either or. I see no reason why you should be concerned about pregnancy, I would assume you're trying to conceive. (Hence coming off your birth control and not using protection) Watch the bleeding for a few days and see what happens. In a week or so, take a pregnancy test with first morning urine. Pink dye tests (such as First Response, Answer, dollar store, etc) are recommended.
