Pregnant?

So I always have irregular periods. I went on birth control to try to regulate them more but I was terrible at taking it on time. My last period lasted 2 weeks..my doctor said it was because my body was getting used to the birth control. It finally stopped and then this month I got to my sugar pills and on the 3rd day I got my "period" but it was really light and only lasted 2 days. I always have at least 7 day periods. I had unprotected sex that entire month, is it possible i'm pregnant? I feel sick all the time, not throwing up sick but just sick. Headaches, dizziness, i'm always hungry but then eating makes me feel even more sick. I've taken a pregnancy test but it came out negative. Any suggestions?

It's possible you could be pregnant. BC pills need to be taken at the same time everyday for them to be properly effective. But it's also possible you're still adjusting to them. Wait a week or two and take another test with first morning urine. Are you usin these only to regulate your period or as a BC as well? If it's the latter, I'd suggest getting on one you don't need to take everyday, suh as the shot, patch or an IUD. As said above, no BC is 100% and not taking it as you should raises your odds of pregnancy even more.

It could just be your body adjusting to the birth control still. I had a lot of irregular spotting/short periods in the short time I was on the pill. I would wait it out to your next period to see if you get it or not to test, BUT keep in mind birth control can be less effective in the first three months, and it's not 100% effective EVER, you can still get pregnant if you have unprotected sex.
