if its something that can wait, it would be better to wait then... i know this isnt the same thing but my dentist wouldnt do my root canal when i was prego and my Dr said they were just being paranoid and i would have been fine, also my sisters sister in law has required surgery through her last 2 pregnancys due to bowel obstructions(she has crohns) but that was serious and needed to be done and they jsut monitored the baby each time.. how far along are you, or how long do you have left? any way ask your dr to see what they have to say...

I know when I had my tonsils out I was put under for it, and I don't think that's good forr baby. I agree with smjmekg - you need to discuss that with your Dr.

Does your dr know you are pregnant? You really should discuss them with him/her. It really is up to you and your doctor whether benefits outweigh risks, if there are any at all.
