Pregnant with a cold, need advice!

I am 29 weeks pregnant and have been battling a cold since Sunday.  (sore throat, sneezing, stuffy & runny nose, cough, sore chest)  My question is... can I take additional vitamin C to help speed up the recovery process.  The only vitamin C supplement I am getting right now is just what's in my prenantal vitamins.  Will it hurt if I take a couple chewable vitamin C tablets until I get over this cold?  Any additonal tips you can offer me about dealing with a cold while being pregnant I would appreciate as well!  Thank you!!

I just got a list of medications you can take during pregnancy from my hospital. For cold you can take decongestants like Sudafed or Dimetapp Extend tabs. You can use Afrin Nasal Spray but may only be used for 3 days. For cough you can use Robitussin DM cough syrup or Extend-12 liquid.

Yuck I was sick for two weeks last month.  I was afraid to take anything, so I just suffered through.  I got some ricola to help with my sore throat.  I dont really think vitamin C does much when you are already sick.   I would just check with your Dr on anything you take

Extra Vitamin C won't hurt... you can take robitussin for colds (with doctor approval) as well as tylenol!

I have taken Tylenol cold in the past being pregnant, but it's always better to check with your dr before doing so.  I don't think extra vitamin C would hurt.  Feel better soon.
