Thanks to all who shared and gave me suggestions throughout my miscarriage. The doctor gave us the okay to start trying again.  We are very hopeful.  When we tried for the first time seven years ago we were told that without medical help, we would not be able to have children.  My husbands sperm do not swim very fast.  So he got on a dietary supplement and I got pregnant 3 months later and had no problems.  My daughter is now going to be five.  About a year ago we  went on the same supplement and nothing happened, so we had given up hope that we would ever be able to have children again and I got rid of all the baby items.  Then I got pregant, even though the miscarriage has been hard, knowing that I can get pregnant again is a positive thing.

I feel for you.  I miscarried at 6/7 weeks the day after christmas... I had two positive preg. test just a week before too.  But when i went to the er for bleeding it showed an empty sac.  I wish you the best of luck.  Doing the weekly blood work is no fun... I had to go for 3 weeks after my miscarriage because it was taking a long time for the numbers to get to zero and they wanted to make sure my body completley passed everything.  Im so so sorry... nothing can compare to the heartbreak of miscarriage.  I wanted to start trying right away but my doc recommened we wait 3 cycles to let my body recover and ensure I have a good lining to support a new preg.  the waiting is driving me crazy... been 4 weeks since my miscarriage and still no period.

wish you the best of luck

I had my final blood test yesterday and my levels are going down.  Because there was nothing in my uterus and it wasn't an ectopic I did not have to have a DNC.  When is it safe to start trying again?

They give you a pill that will cause the ectopic pregnancy to come out naturally. They cannot save ectopic pregnancies. SO SORRY for what you're going through!

I got my blood test results back and they were low but still at the same level.  So I have to go back on Monday for another test and was told they want to rule out an ectopic pregnancy.  They want to see my hormone level go down.  If it is ectopic what would they do next?

Yes I do have a tilted uterus. They did not see a sac on the u/s, they just said my uterus was empty.  The only thing they found was a cyst on my ovary.  I feel so numb emotionally.  I have never had a miscarriage, so I don't know what to think.  I never had any bad cramping or heavy bleeding.

Even after miscarriages you can still get a positive HPT because it takes a while for the horomones to get out of you system.  This happened to me when I was younger.  The doctor actually wouldn't let me get on birth control until my hgc count went down.

Well when you have a m/c your HCG levels can stay up for weeks...making you think you're still Pregnant. Also when your HCG levels are up that means your symptoms can still be around which makes you think you are Pregnant.
Do you mean your gestational sac was empty? At 8 weeks you definitely should see something on the u/s....but could it be possible that you have a tilted uterus?? If so, it's sometimes difficult to see the baby...
Did you have any Cramping or pass any Clots??

At 8 weeks your HCG was prolly pretty high...did they give you a number? So if you did m/c its going to take a while to go back down so you could technically get positive HPT's for another week or so. But miracles do happen, so hang tight!! If your numbers double tomorrow thats a good sign, let us know how you make out hun!

I went in to the doctor on Tuesday and the dr told me I was 7-8 weeks and gave me a due date for sept.  I had done hpt that morning and it was positive. I had also done one the Saturday before and last Monday, they were both postive. So my hopes were up when she felt my uterus she said it felt like it was 8 week size and that my cervix was closed.  She then sent me to the hospital to have an ultra sound done and the results were not what I expected.  They told me that my uterus was empty and the reason my uterus was enlarged was because of the prolonged bleeding and that I probably miscarried and would not have to have a dnc.  But they sent me to have blood work done and they called back last night that it came back POSITIVE!  What does this mean?  I go back on Thursday for a follow up blood test. Anyone?

It sounds to me like you are having implantation bleeding, or it could be that your cervix is just very sensative right now.. When you first get pregnant, the changes in hormones cause your cervix to become very sensative..... As long as your not cramping or bleeding heavily, passing clots, you should be ok... How far along do you think you are ?
