We have been TTC for 16 months with our 2nd child.

Our first child came with no problem, so this one is a little disheartening

DH and I started officially trying november 2010 and finally in July 2011 conceived. I can take normal, healthy couples up to a year or longer to conceive, so try not to get discouraged if it takes a while!

Both times I got pregnant the first month, but I guess I'm just lucky. It can take anywhere from one month to years, everyone is different and it is all normal. Just relax and it will happen when its suppossed to. Hopefully your another lucky one :)

I know it sounds silly, but I got an app on my phone letting me know when I am ovulating. Im not 100% on how accurate it is... is there a basic calculation from your date of last period that they use to figure out when you're ovulating? I am totally new to the whole pregnancy thing and all the terms are kinda gibberish to me:)

I started trying in August, and was pregnant in Nov.  Everyone is very different though, and we are all normal.  It can sometimes take a bit of time, so patience is so necessary when ttc.  I would recommend using an ovulation predictor kit.  I swear by them!  Good luck to you!!
